Online Giving Policy

Grove givers!

We are pleased to make available to you this online giving service. We are offering this service to those of you who have a tendency to forget to bring your offering to the service, or who occasionally forget, or who want to give when you're out of town. We do not envision this online service as an ideal replacement to the "live" practice of giving regularly in our worship gathering.

As for how this works, first we want to make a few things clear.

In order to transfer funds via PayPal, one may use either a debit or a credit card. So, we want to strongly advise you, up front, to only use a debit card for making online offerings to our church. The good thing about debit cards is this: debit cards do not work unless there is CASH available.

As a church we reject the use of credit card debt to finance a materialistic lifestyle, nor do we want anyone to go into debt in order to give to our church. Credit cards are dangerous; very few people can manage them wisely. Please consider cutting up your credit cards.

At the very least, use only a debit card when using PayPal for making your contribution to the Grove.

And thank you for your generosity! We encourage you to excel still more in the grace of giving, even as we encourage you to excel in the grace of careful spending and saving.
