Service Opportunities

Hospitality Ministry
The Hospitality Ministry at The Grove envelopes several teams whose purpose is to connect people to our church family. Consider serving on one of these teams if you resonate with this purpose and wish to help in welcoming/connecting people to our church. To become involved with a team, please contact the team leader:

Greeters - Dave Hamrick - E-mail
- Meet and welcome all people, especially newcomers with questions.

Information Cafe - Malinda Mayo - E-mail
- The place to get information about what's going on at The Grove.

Ushers - Dave Hamrick - E-mail
- Help with seating and offering.

Time commitment:  1 hour, 2 times a month
Length commitment:  6 months

Missions Team

- Meet and welcome all people, especially newcomers with questions.

Middle School Ministry

- Serve middle schoolers in our church and in our community..

Prayer Team

- Receive email prayer requests from the congregation and take them faithfully to the Father in prayer!

Greenhouse Team - Children's Ministry
Our faith is passed on from generation to generation and the Grove's children are our heritage. We want to teach, connect with, and grow our children to glorify God with their whole life. Contact Elise Harkey at elise@thegrovechurch.org

Time commitment:  2 hours, every 1 to 6 weeks
Length commitment:  1 semester

Production Team
The Production Team is responsible for all the creative elements during our worship gatherings. Jobs include house sound mix, monitor mix, graphics, and lighting. Contact Jason Miller at jason@thegrovechurch.org to get involved.

Time commitment:  2 hours, every other month
Length commitment:  6 months

Community Ministries
Community Group leaders are responsible for care and encouragement of their community groups, preparing and faciliating the study of scripture, and raising up leaders. Most leaders emerge from existing Community Groups. For questions, contact Brett Harkey at brett@thegrovechurch.org.

Time commitment:  5-10 hours weekly
Length commitment:  1 year

Worship Team
This team is responsible for all of the music in the worship gathering. Drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, vocals, strings and more. By audition only. Contact Brett Harkey at brett@thegrovechurch.org.

Time commitment:  10 hours, 1-3 times per month
Length commitment:  6 months

Administration Help
Administrative Help teams provide several ways to serve our church and are a great way for you to be involved with our church life. With a building and office space of our own comes many responsibilities, most of which can be accomplished by a volunteer willing to help out for as little as 1 hour each week. Cleaning Team - Dave Hamrick - E-mail
- Help out on Thursdays each week by cleaning the Worship Center, Greenhouse & offices.

Grounds Keeping Team - David Sadler - E-mail
- Cutting grass, planting flowers, weeding the beds & general landscaping of our grounds.

Office Help Team - Dave Hamrick - E-mail
- Help with church administration like filing, labeling, folding, etc.

Time commitment:   1-2 hours, 2-3 times a month
Length commitment:  6 months
