Staff & Elders

Matt Fries - Elder
Matt and Michelle have three children (Taylor 9, Dotty 7, and Marcom 5) and live in Springdale. They have spent the majority of their professional lives pursuing different strategies to plant the church in an Asian people group that has never know the gospel. Currently Matt is selling hand-made Tibetan rugs and doing PR. Michelle is home-schooling the children and holding the family to a strong foundation.

Brett Harkey - Elder / Community / Worship /
I enjoy hiking, backpacking, photography, and playing guitar. Any day I can participate in one of those activities with my beautifual daughters, Maitlyn and Elspeth and my lovely wife, Elise, is a good day. I believe the iPod is the greatest invention since the Starbucks white chocalate mocha. I've been an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan since birth ('Sooner born and Sooner bred'), and can be found at OU games or glued to a television on Saturdays in the Fall. I'm a fan of offbeat movies and so I love Wes Anderson films. I love to invite people into worship to see the greatness and glory of God and I enjoy seeing artists utilize their gifts in excellent ways in the life of the church. I am energized when I see people living out Romans 12:1.

Elise Harkey - Greenhouse Director /
I am married to Brett and we have three daughters, Maitlyn, Elspeth and Amelia. Besides working for the Grove, I have a full-time responsibility homeschooling our children. I enjoy hiking, scrapbooking, cooking (but not grocery shopping), playing board and card games, and reading. I am passionate about raising up my kids and all the children of The Grove with a good, scriptural foundation. Greenhouse Blog

David Hamrick - Administrator / Accountant /
Bicycling, backpacking, canoeing and watching movies are things that I enjoy spending time doing. I love my wife's (Sarah) homemade egg sandwiches (she's a great cook!). I have a dad and mom, two sisters and a brother and several nieces and nephews. Oh, and a dog named Jasper. Sarah and I are Christian Hedonists; our life pursuit is pleasure/Joy which can only be found in Jesus Christ. Life verse: Psalm 16:11.

Kent Hodskins - Elder / Directional Leader /
I have a great life with Kristen (still the sweetest person I've every met) and our two little wild men, Aidan and Patrick-who loves climbing all over "Fort Hodskins" in the back yard and practicing their pre-tee-ball swing. I grew up outside of Houston in a town called Friendswood. Kristen grew up here in Fayetteville. We met at Baylor University, got married after college, lived in Pasadena, CA for a few years, and then moved here in 2001 to work for the Grove (You should ask us sometime to tell you about our "Penske Problems" on our odyssey back to Arkansas). As a usband, father, and pastor, I want to live a life that shows that Christ is my greatest treasure and that builds his reputation in the world.

Jason Miller - Creative Media / Worship /
I love spending time with my wife Jaime. I am into way too many things such as computers, golf, bowling, graphic design, web design, cooking, mowing the yard, playing/recording music, and it goes on and on. I get energized by using my talents to enhance the live worship experience through media. Spreading God's fame through the earth is what I desire to see happen in our church.

Bronson Stilwell - Elder
God had Bronson raised in a Christian family in Dallas, but Bronson got serious in his relationship with God in 1970 at Rice University. God joined Bronson in 1973 with his wife, Evelyn, and moved them and their three children from Texas to Fayetteville in 1983. God has provided Bronson with a job as a full-time staff physician at the Fayetteville VA Medical Center since 1992. God has given Bronson and Evelyn a strong interest in students and a residential discipleship ministry in their home ("The Arkansas House") on the edge of the UofA campus. God has given Bronson a fascination with words and thier origins as an amateur philologist - as he'll gladly explain to you some Sunday night when he's working the Grove Info Cafe. Life passage: Isaiah 61:1-4
