Humanity expected God to arrive with power — a warrior, a king, someone impressive enough to match the moment. Instead, he came as a vulnerable baby, born into an ordinary family with nowhere proper to stay. This post walks through Philippians 2:5–11 to explore why God chose humility over prestige, what it means that he closed the distance instead of waiting for us to close it, and why the invitation to him was never about waiting for the right feeling.
